Swollen Painful Cheek/jaw

John Buford

Another picture John F. Reynolds. but this time with his friend and colleague John Buford, who was surely one of the protagonists of the battle. He was in fact responsible, non-trivial to get to Gettysburg, just before Heth's division, which was the vanguard of the army of Lee.Dopo have carefully explored the whole area Buford quickly realized that the land was perfect for fighting a defensive battle and made his two brigades deployed at strategic points. Shortly thereafter Johnston Pettigrew and his North Carolinians, who were about to enter the city realized that it was already occupied and had to backtrack.

was a leaden day when Joseph has taken these pictures and had a certain fear that the quality the image would lose smalto.Mi wrong, some of these photos are simply perfect and even the inclement weather did not at all damaged in our work.

Doug, the guide who accompanied us discussed in a fairly lively at this time and I was very concerned by what he said, partly because I always thought that the action of Buford was one of the important moments of the battle.

John Buford, among other things, does not enjoy a great fortune, would not have survived the war, dying at the end of 1863 and fell into oblivion for a while, but today is rightly remembered as one of the great protagonists of the battle
